Tom Shedden
at Big Art Canvas
Having studied illustration in London, Tom moved to Australia for a
couple of years, where he began taking photos as reference for future
work. However, there was no need to replicate the photos as they were
very much finished pieces in their own right.
Toms work is all about the unnoticed and the forgotten, focusing on
sublime and ordinary every day objects and turning them into remarkable
works of art in their own right. Working mainly with colour, he uses
typography to balance the frame.
We hope you enjoy them as much as Tom enjoyed finding them!

"Looking at a big enlargement is like looking out of a window - there is a sense of being there, a much more realistic impression"
