Monte Nagler

Michigan-based artist Monte Nagler began photographing seriously after
studying with Ansel Adams. "It was during that period of intensive work
that I realized that making photographs is a way to experience beauty
instead of just looking at it." says Nagler.
Nagler's photographs have won numerous awards and can be found in many
private and public collections including the Detroit Institute of the
Arts, the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson and The Brooklyn
Museum. In addition to the many awards and acknowledgments Nagler has
received, the State of Michigan Senate and House have honoured him for
his contributions to the fine art of photography.
