About Us

Big Art Canvas is a family run, fine art publishing business based in Brighton, England.

Launched in 2004 by graphic designer and photographer, David Christman, and now co-managed with Donna Christman, interior architect and teacher, the Big Art name came from the desire to print large pictures at a reasonable cost.

Our team understand the importance of quality control, and returning customers often comment on the high standard of work previously received.

We use the best fine point quality detail digital printers on the market and our monitor screens are calibrated to ensure colour consistency from artwork to final print.

Our inks are colourfast for 70 years which means they will not fade. We use a range of fine art quality canvas and premium grade photographic papers which are archival museum standard.

Our wooden stretcher bars are sourced from sustainable sources and have a bevelled edge which means that only the smallest amount of canvas is in contact with the stretcher bar.

We minimise packaging as much as possible, and source cardboard from recycled pulp.

We donate 5% of the profit from all our picture sales to ethical and environmental charities and encourage team members to get involved with local community projects that inspire positive change. Learn more about who we support.
